Crosby Training Courses (Instructor Led)

Training Class

The Crosby Group offers three basic types of rigging courses open to the public (after application approval). These courses address multiple market needs. Please choose one of the following that pertains to your industry:

Note: Limited seating is available. All seating subject to approval with priority going to Crosby end users and distributors.

ASME/OSHA COURSES

For individuals who work in manufacturing facilities, construction sites, utilities, etc., and anyone who must comply with the OSHA regulations. These courses also draw heavily from the ASME standards. Similar courses are offered in Europe, Latin America, Asia, and Middle East, except the OSHA emphasis is reduced and other applicable standards that apply such as EN standards may be inserted. The Rigging Trainer Development course is available in selected cities.

LAND BASED ENERGY COURSES

For individuals who work in land based oil and gas industry. These courses provide an extra emphasis on ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) and API (American Petroleum Institute) information coupled with well servicing, gin pole truck, and energy industry specifics. The Rigging Trainer Development course is available in selected cities.

OFFSHORE ENERGY COURSES

For individuals who work in offshore energy environments. These courses draw heavily from the API RP 2D recommended practices, coupled with ASME and Crosby recommendations. Rigging Trainer Development course is available in selected cities.

GENERAL INFORMATION

In select cities, Crosby offers a Block Clinic, Heavy Lift and/or Advanced Rigging seminar when our schedule allows.

Rigging Trainer Development Course: The materials utilized in these courses were developed for the Crosby product line. The materials are intended to be used as classroom references in training sessions conducted by individuals authorized by Crosby. Crosby provides instruction only on how to use the materials and does not select nor determine whether each attendee is qualified to be a trainer. Crosby does not pass or fail any attendee, we simply provide the materials and training. The management of companies requesting the Crosby training are responsible for determining the capability and suitability of all trainers in their employment.
