ASME/OSHA Course Description

Fundamentals of Rigging (CA-005):
Rigging Trainer Development Course (CA-005): This is an eight hour course that discusses the fundamentals of rigging. It is designed for individuals rigging and handling loads in construction, manufacturing, utilities and various environments that must adhere to the OSHA regulations. The ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) and Crosby recommendations are heavily addressed as well. This course also serves as a prerequisite for attending the day two (CA-006B) course the following day. Please refer to course agenda and or objectives regarding course (CA-005) for more detailed information.

Rigging Trainer Development Course (CA-006B):
Rigging Trainer Development Course (CA-006B): In order to attend this eight hour course you must have attended course (CA-005) the day prior. This course builds on the fundamentals learned the day prior, but also covers more advanced topics that would be useful for trainers as they educate others on the basics of rigging. To accomplish the educational course objectives, we utilize team workshops and various exercises in a classroom environment. Block Clinic (BT-001):
Crosby McKissick Block Clinic (BT-001): This is a four hour course that discusses basic block concepts, block terminology and application/inspection of Crosby McKissick crane blocks, snatch blocks, sheaves and overhaul balls. It is designed for individuals working in construction environments utilizing mobile cranes. Please refer to course agenda and or objectives regarding course (BT-001) for more detailed information.

Heavy Lift (HL-002):
Crosby Heavy Lift (HL-002): This is a seven hour course that covers various examples of worldwide heavy lifts, critical lift and the rigging plan, heavy lift shackles, hooks, terminations, blocks, bearings and various heavy lift considerations. Instructor led lecture combined with several team workshops is utilized to enhance learning. Please refer to course agenda and or objectives regarding course (HL-002) for more detailed information.
