The Director of Operational Excellence and PMO will be responsible to direct, coordinate and actively participate in creating a sustainable culture of continuous improvement that delivers results. Responsibilities include assessment of the current business processes and activities, development of the future state vision, and execution of Rapid Improvement Event (kaizen) action plans. The role encompasses the enterprise; it is catalyst to develop customer driven value streams that create flow of information, activity, and products. The Director of Operational Excellence and PMO will prioritize and execute training and deploy the tools, principals, and processes that eliminate waste. These concepts include Mixed Model Lean and Problem Solving Techniques. Results will be measured by profitable business growth and performance to the OPEX score card (safety, quality, delivery and cost). Simply, this leader will make things happen. The director knows what has to happen, plan a way to make it happen and takes the steps to see that it happens.
Knowledge and Skill: 8+ years of Operational Excellence experience. Effective communication, both verbal and with PC based tools. Strong project management skills required. Lean Certified/Six Sigma Black belt, preferred. Able to analyze and summarize data to draw rational fact base conclusions. Able to recognize problems and opportunities with a bias for taking action. Able to engage and engages others in work efforts. Effectively adapts to work in an environment of changes. Resilient and tough, but cooperative. A continuous improvement mindset focusing on high impact improvements. BA/BS degree required, MBA a plus.
